What is eServicePlace?
eServicePlace is a 'Services Marketplace' that provides a secure environment to buy and sell services.
What Services can be bought?
There are no limitations to what services can be bought. Any home repair, auto repair or event arrangement service can be bought through eServicePlace. Whenever and whatever work to be done, you can use eServicePlace to buy the Service and fulfill your service need.
How much does it cost?
You can buy any services for free except we charge 2% security deposit when selecting the winning bid which will be deducted from your final bill from the provider.
To sell a service, you have to sign up for one of our membership plan and you will be charged 2% transaction fee of your winning bid if you are the winner. However, placing service offer is free.
Who is a Requestor?
Anyone who have a work to be done and placed a service request with eServicePlace.
What are service categories?
Service categories are used to group similar requests and offers. Our marketplace is driven by the categories. So, placing service request and service offer in a correct category is crucial to one's success.
Do I need to register?
Yes, you have to register to buy or sell any services.
When do I need to register?
Our registration process is designed to get the information from you, whenever necessary. You can register during placing a service request or placing a service offer.
What if I forgot my username or password?
You can use forgot username/password link in the signin page to recover you username and reset password.
What is a service request?
Service request specifies the complete details about the work to be performed and the expectations of the requestor. Service request should have all the necessary details about the work, for the provider to provide correct estimation/bid.
Why should I place a service request?
Placing service request is the first important step in buying a service. Also, service request conveys your requirement to the providers.
Do you charge to buy a service?
No, we don't charge to buy a service except we ask a 2% security deposit of the winning bid while choosing a winning bid/provider, which will be deducted from your final bill from the provider.
Why should I activate my first service request?
Purpose of our activation is to verify your email address. So, we can convey important information to you through email.
How to activate my first service request?
When you place a first service request, you will be sent an email with a link to activate. You can either click the link or copy the link and paste it in a browser. Once activated your service requests will be available to registered providers. Place check the spam folder, if our activation email is not in your Inbox.
What If I didn't receive my activation email?
You can go to My Account > Buy Services > Manage Service Requests and click resend activation link.
Why should I select a service category when placing service request?
Service category is used to connect requests with providers, so, its crucial to select the right category to receive more bids and find the right provider.
How do I select the right category?
Search for the service offers or providers and place the service request in the same category as the service offer or the provider.
Do I need to answer all the questions while placing request?
Not Necessary, but if you answer more questions, that will increase the accuracy of the bids, placed by the providers. These questions are designed to get more information about your request.
What is a bid type?
Bid Type is a type of bidding method. We offer three bidding types: Open, Sealed and Offer Now.
Which bid type is right for me?
'Open bid' is best suited to get competitive offer, 'Sealed bid' is best suited to get quality offer when price is not a factor, 'Offer Now' is best suited when time is a concern.
What does invited providers mean?
This means private aution, only invited providers can bid on your service request. When you want only your favorite providers to bid, you can choose invited providers.
How do I invite providers?
You can search the providers, go to specific provider page and invite him to bid for your service request.
How many providers can I invite?
There is no limitation to number of providers you can invite. You can invite as many providers as you want.
What are questions for providers?
These questions will be asked to providers, when they bid on your service request. If you have a specific question to ask the providers, you can add the question here.
What is availability?
If your service request needs an appointment to render a service, you can specify your availability, so, providers can book an appointment instead of calling you to check your availability.
Why should I give availability?
This will save precious time both for you and the provider. If you don't use availability either you or provider have to call to find a time that best suits both of you.
How do I choose the winning bid/provider?
When the bidding is complete, you can go to your service request page and select choose the winner link. You will be taken to provider selection screen where you compare price and quality of each bid and choose the right provider for you.
How eServicePlace help me in choosing the right provider?
eServicePlace provides you with informative and easy provider selection tool, that will help you make an informed decision.
What happens after choosing the winning bid?
Provider will be notified about your decision and will contact you with the next steps.
What is the security deposit?
2% security deposit of the winning bid value will be charged to requestor to make this process legitimate. This security deposit will be deducted from your final bill from the provider.
Is the security deposit refundable?
No, its not refundable. But if you didn't proceed with the winning provider due to contract problems, we will issue the security deposit as a credit that can be used for your next service request.
